Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. I see clients for in-person therapy in my office in Northwest DC. This is a good option if you prefer face-to-face sessions and value having a dedicated space to step away from daily responsibilities and focus on yourself.

  • Yes. I also offer secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy for DC residents. Telehealth makes it easy to access therapy from your home, dorm, or office—whether you’re balancing a busy work schedule, parenting, or away at school.

  • I specialize in helping clients work through:

    • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

    • Burnout and work-life balance

    • Career transitions or pivots

    • Parenting challenges (for working parents, stay-at-home parents, or those taking a pause from their career)

    • Postpartum anxiety and depression

    • Transitions to college, graduate school, or professional school

    • Perfectionism and self-criticism

    • Feeling “stuck” or disconnected from your values

  • Teletherapy sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You can join from your laptop, tablet, or phone. This is especially helpful for clients with full schedules, students away at school, or parents who need flexibility.

  • My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you build psychological flexibility, clarify your values, and take practical steps toward living a more meaningful life. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand the different parts of yourself and why they show up the way they do. Finally, I draw on attachment theory to explore how early experiences shape the way you relate to yourself and others today.

  • If you’ve been feeling anxious, burned out, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself, therapy can be a safe space to sort things out. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit—many clients come to therapy because they want to feel more grounded, make clearer decisions, and live with more purpose.

  • You can schedule a consultation or reach out through my contact form. We’ll have a short phone call to talk about what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a monthly superbill that includes the necessary information and CPT codes (90834 for in-person sessions or 90834-95 for telehealth) to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Many of my clients find that their insurance reimburses anywhere from 60–90% of session costs once their deductible is met.

If you’d like to check your benefits before starting therapy, here are a few helpful questions to ask your insurance company:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?

    • What percentage of the cost is covered for CPT codes 90834 (in-person) or 90834-95 (telehealth)?

    • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
